Theological Education

SOUTH ASIA INSTITUTE OF INTERCULTURAL STUDIES

North India requires a unique approach to Theological Education. Many of the workers in this area are bi-vocational married adults who cannot leave their families to attend formal theological training. People cannot attend campus based theological education for long periods. Formal theological training is simply not practical or possible, and likely would never be completed at on-campus institute.

WE PROVIDE SKILL DEVLOPMENT & VOCATIONAL EDUCATION TO RURAL & URBAN AREAS

In order to facilitate this situation, Vision India has designed a vocational training program that will not take them away from their context, rather train them in their context. Since 2016 we have taken theological education to regions inhabited by grassroot workers who have never attended any training. The training is conducted in a radius of 30kms within the field, so travel expenses of trainees are reduced. Our remote program is brought directly to them and focuses on education for spiritual empowerment, family life, leadership and ministry as well as reaching unreached people groups.

The results of this theological training approach have yielded significant results. Native brothers and sisters working contextually among their people group, have been more effective in their capacity to fulfill the mandate of the Great Commission than full time Campus based training. Vision India has now initiated online teaching for local native grassroot workers who are unable to attend our regional training.

LEADERSHIP AND DISCIPLESHIP ARE ESSENTIAL

The South Asia Institute of Intercultural Studies provides 4-day sessions in the field six times a year. We provide travel and food for the students and teachers. Forty students attend our unique program each year. Vision India provides all the coordination to bring key teachings to North India’s future mission leaders.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

A native worker can attend all 6 Training Sessions for just $150. Please sponsor a future Leader of North India.
Supporting a native worker of India monthly allows them to fully devote themselves to ministry. Just $75 monthly provides them with a salary.
